This was the culmination of an incredible amount of work by Spoke Club volunteers with cooperation from the City of White Salmon and the adjacent Mt Adams Fish and Game Association.  The site had been a city dump site and burn pit for many years so the volunteers had to remove many truckloads of debris including old tires and old creosote-saturated wooden culvert material before they could begin opening paths and building the ramps, pump track, and other skills-building features.

The Spoke Club founders, Dave Nunn, Scott Hulbert, and Steve Delaere, enlisted the help of Jason Wells, a course designer for the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) to develop a professional-grade park that will help put White Salmon firmly on the mountain biking map and add substantially to the Gorge’s great reputation for incredible mountain biking.
